January 4th.

I have a question.

In the middle of eating probably my second slice of sweet potato pie one morning, I thought of a novel concept. I knew that I was going to have to begin a weight loss regimen once the holidays were over. Thing is, what I normally do is go on a water fast for a day or two and then ease my way into just fruits/veggies, then move into eating nothing that wasn't grown out of the ground first. Well, I've had it with the drinking nothing but water/liquids for days (and so had my friends-- that ish'll make you grumpy) and decided that I was done depriving myself of food to jump-start a diet. Its not an ideal lifestyle change to me. But I thought about using a diet pill for a month or so, just to rev up the engines and start the inital weight loss, and then ween myself off of them (b/c they're expensive to maintain-- they cost more than my gym membership!) after the first 10-15lb loss.  I know my loss afterward probably wont be as rapid if I"m not subsequently pumping fat-burning chemicals into my body, but at least it'd be a start.

What are your thoughts on the matter?
